NASHVILLE, Tenn. (UMNS) - Students going to college for the first time can find tips for adjusting to campus life as well as other resources in the current issue of Orientation magazine.

The 48-page Orientation 2001 addresses issues facing students and their parents at the start of a new school year. The annual magazine, in its 23rd year, is designed to assist graduating high school seniors with the transition to college. It offers practical tips about campus life, how to locate the campus ministers or chaplain and how to ask for help.

The magazine is produced jointly by the United Methodist Board of Higher Education and Ministry's Campus Ministry Section and Office of Interpretation. Designed for an ecumenical audience, Orientation 2001 may be used by church groups, campus ministers, college deans and other college administrators.

This year's theme is "Soul Survivors in the Real World." Articles explore the "real world" of people caring for one another, working together in community to help others, and living out their faith every day in Christian service. Other articles challenge students with questions about God, faith, values and relationships. Information about loans and scholarships, prayers for students, and a study guide for group or individual reflection are also included.

Copies are $3 each and are available in bulk orders. Details on ordering Orientation 2001 are available from the Campus Ministry Section, United Methodist Board of Higher Education and Ministry, P.O. Box 340007, Nashville, TN 37203-0007; telephone: (615) 340-7404.
